To diagnose pulmonary conditions the Paediatricians use a variety of advanced tests and procedures, including allergy skin Testing, Pulmonary Function testing and Bronchoscopy. While a referral from your primary care physician is not always necessary, it is recommended for a coordinated approach to your healthcare. Some insurance plans may require a referral for specialist visits, so it's best to check with your insurance provider or our clinic staff to ensure a smooth process.
During your first visit, our pulmonologist will review your medical history, conduct a thorough physical examination, and may order diagnostic tests such as pulmonary function tests, chest X-rays, or CT scans. Based on the findings, a personalized treatment plan will be developed to address your specific needs.
Absolutely! Our pulmonologists not only provide treatment for respiratory conditions but also offer guidance on lifestyle modifications and preventive measures. They may advise you on smoking cessation, proper nutrition, exercise routines, and environmental factors that can improve your respiratory health and reduce the risk of developing respiratory problems in the future.
The frequency of follow-up appointments will vary depending on your condition and treatment plan. Our pulmonologists will provide guidance on the recommended interval between visits. For chronic conditions such as asthma or COPD, regular follow-up visits may be necessary to monitor symptoms, adjust medication, and assess lung function. Our clinic staff will work with you to schedule follow-up appointments that align with your needs and ensure ongoing care and support.
