SUNSHINE SMILES CLINIC

Services started in 2002 however due to cost of care we did not have many clients that could afford. Through partnership with Family Health International, we were able to provide free services from 2005.

In 2006 October APHIA II Nairobi became our partners and through this partnership we  now provide quality comprehensive services to patients who would otherwise not access.

Our Patient profile- > 60% come from informal settlements, 60% live on < 1US $/day, 62% of families are from female headed households and 52% of the children are orphans.

Pro poor efforts by Gertrude’s include provision of transport through a courtesy bus; we have made efforts to ensure all clients have NHIF cover that can serve in outpatient set ups.
